About Marcie A. Mitler M.Ed. - Psychotherapist



Marcie Mitler, M.Ed. is a psychotherapist, specializing in childhood sexual abuse and childhood trauma. She counsels clients in both individual, and group settings and her practice includes couples counseling, as well.

Based in a private office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Ms. Mitler is the founder of "Reclaiming Your Body," a movement and dance class for survivors of sexual abuse, which was featured on Liz Walker's NBC news show. In addition to training students on the Brandeis University rape crises line, Ms. Mitler serves on the board of "Incest Resources", and is an active public speaker. Speaking engagements, dealing with sexual abuse and childhood trauma, include presentations throughout New England, including presentations at The University of Massachusetts and the annual "To Tell The Truth" forum in Rhode Island.

In addition to her private practice, Ms. Mitler leads classes and workshops in group settings for incest survivors, survivors of sexual abuse and childhood trauma, and partners of survivors.
